1、Fundamentals of Principles

The bottom of the rivet stud has a special structure with a ring,usually designed in a tooth or rib shape.When performing riveting operations,this special structure will be embedded into the sheet metal.This embedding method utilizes the plastic deformation of the material to tightly wrap the structure at the bottom of the rivet bolt,thereby forming a stable connection.From a mechanical perspective,this is achieved by increasing friction and interlocking between materials to achieve connection strength.

2、Specific operational steps

Firstly,it is necessary to select suitable rivet bolts,whose specifications(such as diameter,length,etc.)should be determined based on the thickness of the board and the required connection strength.At the same time,it is necessary to ensure that the material of the sheet is suitable for riveting connections,and generally,metal sheets(such as aluminum plates,steel plates,etc.)are more suitable materials.

Place the rivet bolts in the pre drilled holes on the board.The size of this hole should match the outer diameter of the rivet bolt.Usually,the diameter of the hole is slightly larger than the outer diameter of the rivet bolt to facilitate insertion,but it cannot be too large,otherwise it will affect the stability of the connection.

Riveting process

Use professional riveting equipment,such as pneumatic riveting machines or manual riveting tools.When starting the riveting operation,the riveting tool will apply axial pressure to the riveting bolt.Under the action of pressure,the special structure at the bottom of the rivet bolt begins to gradually embed into the plate.

As the pressure continues to increase,the sheet undergoes plastic deformation under the compression of the bottom structure of the rivet bolt.This deformation is local and mainly concentrated in the area around the bottom of the bolt.The board will flow along the tooth shaped or angular structure at the bottom of the screw,just like liquid flowing in a mold,tightly adhering to these structures.

Connection completed

When the riveting operation reaches the specified pressure and stroke,the riveting bolt is firmly installed on the plate.At this point,a mechanical interlocking relationship is formed between the rivet bolt and the plate.Multiple layers of boards or boards can be further connected to other components by screwing screws into the rivet bolts.
